Philadelphia, PA (September 5, 2019) – Geneva Global welcomed Nathaniel Heller as the company’s Managing Director of Philanthropic Services on September 5, 2019. In the newly-formed role, Nathaniel will lead all client service delivery teams, drive business development efforts, and support the company’s overall strategic development.

Nathaniel brings nearly 20 years of experience in social entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, and fundraising to the company. His also brings expertise in international relations, public policy, and citizen engagement.

A co-founder of the award-winning non-profit anti-corruption organization Global Integrity, Nathaniel oversaw a global team of 5,000 researchers and journalists located in more than 120 countries while also raising millions of dollars to support the organization’s operations and growth. Through this work, Nathaniel played in integral role in the creation of the OpenGov Hub, the world’s first thematic co-working space focused on open government issues.

He is also the outgoing co-chair of the Open Government Partnership, a multi-stakeholder initiative promoting transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in more than 100 countries and local governments around the world.

Most recently, Nathaniel served as the Executive Vice President for Integrated Strategies at Results for Development, a leading nonprofit global development partner. There, Nathaniel oversaw and contributed to strategy development, partner and donor management, public-facing thought leadership, and programmatic and research design efforts across R4D’s work in health, education, and nutrition.

Early in Nathaniel’s career, he served as a Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State as well as at the non-profit investigative journalism organization, The Center for Public Integrity.

Nathaniel holds a M.S. in Foreign Service and a certificate in International Business Diplomacy from Georgetown University and a B.A. from the University of Delaware. He is fluent in Spanish.
