As an experienced fundraiser and researcher, Charlotte distills technical language into a digestible, relatable format, and uses her analytical skills to display data in a meaningful way. Her varied background allows her to combine data analysis and storytelling to empower colleagues and clients to make informed decisions, leading to effective philanthropy. 

Prior to joining Geneva Global, Charlotte gained six years of experience working in development for nonprofit organizations; creating engaging donor communications campaigns, moves management processes, fundraising events, and community engagement strategies. 

Charlotte has a passion for storytelling and equitable access to nature, and has a successful track record: she has been awarded several grants supporting a range of activities including habitat restoration, environmental education, accessible trail systems, and free play facilities. 

With a strong knack for relationship building and community engagement, Charlotte leads with empathy and listens intently to best understand the needs of clients and the communities they serve. Charlotte’s training as a freshwater ecology researcher honed her skills in research, technical writing, and data analysis. Charlotte is a committed team player with dynamic skills that lend her to a variety of client projects. 

Charlotte holds a dual master’s degree in Public Administration and Urban Planning from the University of Louisville, with a specialization in nonprofit management and land use planning. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in conservation biology from St. Lawrence University. 

What three words would you use to describe your colleagues? 

Intentional, creative, and supportive


 Why did you decide to work at Geneva Global? 

I was initially interested in the variety of the scope of work that Geneva Global conducts for their clients, and the opportunity to contribute to effective philanthropy on an international scale. However, it was the people who sold me on the opportunity. Hearing the authentic passion and dedication directly from my colleagues was infectious – they are deeply kind and caring individuals who are fiercely committed to their work. 

What brings you joy? 

Extremely hot coffee, making a connection with a stranger, swimming in fresh water, laughing with family and friends. 


What’s your best travel advice? 

Always travel with a notebook, binoculars, deck of cards, and most importantly: an open mind.
