The New Asia Fund allows disadvantaged communities across Asia opportunities for a better life, including previously unavailable access to education — like the school for these migrant children in Beijing.

While Asia has experienced an economic boom in recent years, many Asian nations remain home to communities that lack basic sanitation or access to education, and are vulnerable to infectious diseases and human trafficking.

Contributions to this Fund go directly to programs that prevent women from being enslaved in the red light districts of Bombay, that keep children from being trafficked into back-breaking labor, and that reduce maternal and infant mortality rates.

Organizations helped by the Fund also provide access to education for more young women in Bangladesh, identify and educate migrant children, help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, and provide job training and employment opportunities to young migrant men and women in Beijing.
